NIUM operates at the confluence of food, biology and health. It develops digital and miniaturized in vitro fermentation solutions aimed at improving our understanding of the impact of ingested products on health. NIUM's primary mission is to study the complex relationship between food products and the gut microbiome, in order to better understand their influence on metabolism and health, with a view to developing healthier nutritional ingredients and products, and advancing the implementation of personalized nutrition solutions.
