Business angels support Curvo's vision to improve the financial well-being of the next generation of Europeans with €500,000 funding.
Curvo, an innovative fintech startup based in Belgium, announced the success of its seed, raising €500,000 for its European expansion and to further improve its offer for its customers.
Co-founders Thomas Ketchell and Yoran Brondsema worried about their financial future and that of their peers. So they created Curvo, the easiest way for young Belgians to save for their future and fight inflation through ETF investing. Curvo complements traditional Belgian pension schemes and was created as an alternative to the retail investment options provided by big banks – which are often inflexible, expensive and plagued with poor customer service.
Curvo, which launched in October 2021, quickly rose to prominence thanks to its ease of use, integration with the electronic ID service itsme and simple wallet options. With more than 3 million euros already invested, it is one of the fastest-growing investment platforms in Belgium. It has already empowered over 1,250 people to take control of their own financial journey, enabling them to save and invest for the long term effortlessly.
The round was led by BeAngels and a series of experienced investors, including Brice Le Blevennec (Emakina), Olivier Verdin (AppTweak), Sabba Keynejad (Veed) and Nicolas Hulsmans (Dexerto). InvestSud completed the seed.
Brice Le Blevennec, investor (Emakina), said: “Curvo's innovative service is disrupting traditional offerings in the personal finance sector in Belgium, and I am excited about the growth opportunities in the EU.
"I am delighted to lend my support and look forward to working with Thomas, Yoran and the other investors to help Curvo realize its enormous potential."
Thomas Ketchell, co-founder of Curvo, said: "Our vision is to improve the way people manage their finances and think about their future, and we are delighted to have our new investors join us in our journey.
"With this seed investment, we will be able to reach even more people in Belgium and beyond, providing them with the tools they need to achieve their own financial well-being."
Curvo is currently available to all Belgian residents and can be downloaded from the app stores for iOS and Android.
